Flash drive is the next generation external storage after floppy disk. It is easy to use, hot swap between computers, and lightweighted. Through USB (Universal Serial Bus) port, it can be connected to computer.

If it is compared with floppy disk, flash drive has more advantages. In the terms of durability, flash drive is better than floppy disk. Besides, its reading/writing speed is faster and it is able to keep more data. As we know, floppy disk is only able to hold 1.2 MB. Presently, flash drive storage capacity is getting larger which reaches 16 GB in this world today.
